On the Fringes of Reality

Where the ordinary world reveals its true nature

The Elevator Anthology

Five people trapped in a lift bathed in harsh red emergency lighting. Display above shows 'LIAR' in glowing letters. From left: exhausted nurse in NHS uniform, delivery driver holding parcel, elderly woman, and young mother holding toddler. Dog carrier visible at bottom. All show expressions of fear and exhaustion. Claustrophobic framing emphasizes their entrapment.

The Elevator Anthology is a series of interconnected horror stories set within the same lift—though sometimes it’s in an apartment, other times in an office or an hotel. Each piece explores what happens when ordinary people step into an ordinary elevator and find themselves trapped in something far more sinister. From job interviews that feed on hope to power cuts that reveal impossible basements, the lift becomes a liminal space where reality breaks down and the building itself seems hungry for something more than rent. The stories can be read independently, but together they paint a picture of a place where going up or down might be the last decision you ever make.
