Scaling back

Hello all.

After a 62-day streak of posting daily to the website, I’m scaling things back slightly. It’s been a blast, not missing a day. And the objective of getting 40 short fiction pieces up in 2 months has been surpassed (it’s 46) with a handful of articles here and there.

So what’s next? I’ll still be posting three times a week, which will include:

  • Micro Monday (100-500 words)
  • Flash Friday (400-1000 words)
  • Sunday Shorts (1000+ words)
  • Occasional articles/listicles and updates

I’m doing this not because I need a break… though sometimes at 3 a.m. I do feel like taking a breather! It’s to make time for

  • the odd competition/submission
  • working on a couple of chapbooks I’ve been thinking about
  • possibly a collection of short fiction which will include stuff that’s not on the website
  • reading old classics and some new stuff
  • engaging a bit more with the writing community (which, as an introspective introvert, comes as something of a challenge)

So the next post will be Friday. If anyone wants to say hi, Twitter/X or Instagram might be the easiest way.

About

On the Fringes of Reality is a collection of contemporary horror stories that explore the unsettling spaces where our ordinary world reveals its true nature. Each tale examines the familiar through a darker lens, finding terror in technology, relationships, and the everyday moments that suddenly turn strange.
